Shambling Mound

 

Long have you heard tell of the terrible “shamblers,” dismal beasts seemingly composed of rotting vegetation and organic matter. Impervious to many forms of attack, these "mounds" lie in ambush for travelers.

Fust Heap.  Luckily the variant you encountered, the fust heap, was far less fearsome than you a true shambler. It offered no resistance to magical fire, and ultimately proved more a nuisance than a genuine threat.

Special attacks: swamp camo (difficult to detect, bonus to surprise), devour (pulls target into maw), gas cloud (releases a noxious gas that obscures vision, effects if inhaled unknown)
